Guest policies

Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. A 40% deposit is paid online when booking. The remaining balance is paid in person at check-in, and a valid credit card is required on file for incidentals or room charges.

Early arrivals and late check-outs may be available at no charge depending on availability. Please call ahead to request them.

Cancellations more than 30 days before arrival: the deposit is refunded minus an administrative fee equal to 15% of the deposit.

Cancellations fewer than 30 days before arrival: the deposit is forfeited.

Changes or rescheduling must be requested at least 10 days before arrival and completed within the same calendar year. A deposit may be prorated and a portion forfeited depending on the change. One reschedule is permitted, and rescheduled reservations are not eligible for refunds.

Guests are responsible for the full cost of all reserved days if arriving late or leaving early, unless the reservation is changed at least 10 days before arrival.

For no-shows, the card on file will be charged for the remaining balance.

• All cabin interiors are non-smoking. The minimum smoking fee is $300. Smoking is allowed outside; please use receptacles for cigarette butts.
• Housekeeping during the stay is the guest’s responsibility. Fresh towels, bed linens, toilet paper, trash bags and similar supplies are available by request.
• Grills and fish cookers must remain off decks and at least 10 feet from structures or trees.
• All fish must be cleaned at the fish-cleaning station, with waste returned to the lake. Cleaning fish at cabins is prohibited and may result in fees.
• Guests are responsible for damage caused by themselves, members of their party or their pets.

Cabins welcome a maximum of two pets. The pet fee is $15 per night, per pet, plus the same applicable taxes as the cabin rental.

Pets must remain leashed, stay off cabin furniture and have all waste picked up. Complimentary dog-waste bags are available at the office. Cleaning fees may apply for waste left behind or pets on cabin furniture.

Pets are not permitted on the beach. They may enter the water from the boat launch or courtesy dock.

• The speed limit is 10 MPH on all gravel roads.
• Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
• Children should be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
• Alcoholic beverages are permitted; please drink responsibly.
• Campfires must remain in supplied or approved personal fire pits.
• Firearms, fireworks, BB guns, airsoft guns, bows and similar items may not be discharged.
• Please be respectful and courteous to staff and fellow guests.

The renter must be at least 25 years old and present valid identification. A 40% rental deposit is paid online when booking. The remaining rental balance is paid in person before departure. A separate $250 damage deposit is collected at check-in and refunded after the rental, less fuel used or any damages. A valid credit card is required on file for every reservation.

Please arrive 30 minutes early for the operating-area map, boat walk-through and rental agreement.

Fishing boats: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pontoons: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

All boats are due back by 5:00 PM regardless of pickup time. Late returns are charged $100 for every 15 minutes. Guests are not charged while waiting for Lakeview staff to fuel the boat if they are within the marina’s no-wake buoys.

Lakeview cabin guests receive complimentary extended hours from sunrise until 30 minutes before sunset. A sunrise departure requires completion of the boat checklist before 5:00 PM the previous day. Cabin-guest rentals must be back in Cypress Cove by 5:00 PM.

Children age 12 and younger are required by law to wear a life jacket at all times. Because children’s sizes vary, Lakeview keeps only a limited supply available on a first-come, first-served basis. Infant and toddler sizes are not supplied. We strongly recommend bringing a properly fitted life jacket for each child.

No pets are permitted on the 2025 Godfrey Tritoon with Diving Board.

On the other rental boats, up to two pets are permitted, with a maximum weight of 50 pounds each. Pets must remain under their owner’s control, and pet fees apply. More than two pets—or pets that cannot be controlled—will not be allowed to board, and no refund will be issued.

Please remember that damage to boat seating can be costly.

More than 7 days before the reservation: the deposit is refunded minus an administrative fee equal to 10% of the deposit.

7 days to 48 hours before the reservation: the deposit is refunded minus $100 and any processing fees.

Fewer than 48 hours before the reservation: the rental deposit is forfeited.

Rescheduling is available when requested at least 48 hours before the reservation. The new date must be within the current boating season and is subject to a $20 fee. Rescheduled rentals are not eligible for refunds.

Holiday and holiday-weekend reservations must be canceled at least 7 days in advance to qualify for any refund or rescheduling option. Holiday weekends such as Memorial Day and Labor Day run Friday through Monday; July 4 timing varies by year.

The deposit is forfeited for all no-shows.

Lakeview makes all weather-related cancellation decisions on the day of the reservation based on guest safety. Severe-weather cancellations may be rescheduled at no charge or canceled for a fee equal to 10% of the deposit; the rest of the deposit will be refunded. Overcast skies or light rain do not qualify for cancellation.
